and Thanksgiving Services

A funeral marks the end of a person's life on earth. It is the opportunity for family and friends to come together to support one another in their grief, to give thanks for the life which has ended and to commend the person into God’s keeping.

Funerals in Spain normally take place within 24 hours of death. For that reason, families often wish to hold a memorial or thanksgiving service some weeks or even months after a person has died in order to allow time to gather and remember. The chaplain is always happy to advise about the format and content of such a service.
